ME

I am a certified professional coach of 15 years, a nurse leader, educator and career development mentor and coach to nurses in Colorado and virtually worldwide.

In the 2000s  I practiced as a small business consultant and coach in healthcare, and general small business start ups - anything from new business start up providing global free trade zone telehealth services to marketing a Colorado winery and resort! Coaching spans many genres and niches. I returned to nursing management in the US in 2015 and rediscovered my passion to helping others be their best.

 

I started this private nurse life coaching service niche in 2023 after recognizing that as a profession we are not always as kind and truly supportive to our nurses. We expect them to be the backbone and support everyone else - but they lack the support they need in return. I know this firsthand how burned out and exhausted nurses have become and desperately want to leave or change. Driving and compounding this is a trifecta of generational events; baby boomer nurses retiring, a global pandemic pushing nurses to and beyond their limits and leaving the profession; an ongoing restructure of how healthcare services are delivered and a chronic shortage of nurses putting pressure on nurse's ability to provide quality and safe care to patients.

My career has spanned both the UK and USA healthcare business areas as an international sales and marketing business executive and consultant in medical device innovation. Most recently as a senior nurse manager in rehab, skilled nursing, long-term care, and hospice services, and as a nurse leader educator with a major ambulatory medical group organization with a focus on nurse retention improvement strategies, nurse coaching, and clinical staff onboarding program development.

Personally - I am from England and moved permanently to the USA in the 1990s. I live in the Fort Collins area of Colorado with my partner Paul.
